This afternoon, Aruba Bank officially announced the program for its 2025 Innovation Conference, “Inspiring the Future,” an inspiring event that marks a century of progress and looks confidently toward a future full of possibilities.
During a press conference, Tamara Waldron, Regional Manager of Branding & Marketing at Aruba Bank, opened the event with an inspiring message:
“Innovation is not only about technology,” she said, “it’s a way of thinking, a way of working, and a way of serving our clients.”
Mr. Rob de Ridder, Managing Director & Chairman of the Management Board of Aruba Bank, revealed the theme of the event:
“Innovate Aruba: Inspiring the Future – A Century of Progress with Aruba Bank.”
He emphasized that the conference is a platform to connect big ideas with action — a reflection of the spirit of progress that Aruba Bank has upheld for 100 years.
Nigel Wix, Regional Manager of IT Innovation & Technology at Aruba Bank, shared how the bank uses technology, AI, and digital transformation to create an easier and more efficient experience for clients:
“We believe that innovation starts with culture — with a desire to keep thinking differently and to create solutions that bring real value,” Nigel shared.
Bruce Harms, Founder of Full Stack Vision Foundation, followed with the launch of the “Youth Coding Workshop,” a program designed to inspire Aruba’s youth to discover their talent in technology. The workshop will be part of the conference, giving the new generation the opportunity to create, think critically, and innovate.
“If we give children the right tools, they will build a future we can be proud of,” Bruce expressed.
An Event to Inspire, Innovate, and Connect
The Aruba Bank Innovation Conference will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Renaissance Convention Center from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, hosted by Rosabelle Illes as Master of Ceremonies.
The program will bring together international and local leaders, including:
• Dr. Edward Cheung (Aruban Engineer at NASA)
• Jairzinno Henriquez (Google Developer Group)
• Haime Croeze (Digital Natives of Aruba Foundation)
They will share insights on technology, AI, and the future of digital Aruba.
In addition, Aruba Bank is launching a free “Youth Coding Workshop” for students aged 15–17, led by Bruce Harms. The workshop will provide hands-on experience with coding, AI, and innovation thinking in a fun and educational environment.
