Aruba Bank today announced that Lilly Dirksz, Specialist in Payments Strategy & Solutions, has elected to take early retirement after more than two decades with the institution.
Ms. Dirksz first joined Aruba Bank in October 2005 as a temporary worker and became a permanent member of the organization on March 6, 2006. Over the twenty years that followed, she built a career that spanned several of the bank’s core functions.
She began in Corporate before taking on management of CARC. She went on to coordinate the MEGA initiative for the Back Office, contributed to a range of bank-wide projects, and most recently served as a Specialist in Payments Strategy & Solutions — a role at the center of how the bank continues to modernize the way its clients move money.
“Twenty years of service is rare, and twenty years of service across as many different parts of the bank is rarer still,” said Marjory Clark, Senior Specialist at Aruba Bank. “Lilly has been part of the working life of this organization through a long period of change. She took on responsibility wherever it was needed, she was direct about what she thought, and colleagues always knew exactly where they stood with her. That is a genuine contribution, and it will be missed.”
Colleagues describe Ms. Dirksz as a direct communicator with a strong work ethic and an unmistakable presence in the building — someone whose energy and humor became part of the character of the teams she worked on.
“I am grateful for the years I spent here and for the people I worked alongside,” said Ms. Dirksz. “Aruba Bank gave me a career, but more than that, it gave me colleagues who became friends. I am leaving with twenty years of memories and looking forward to what comes next.”
Ms. Dirksz plans to spend her retirement travelling and enjoying time with family and friends.
Aruba Bank extends its sincere thanks to Ms. Dirksz for her many years of dedication and wishes her health, happiness, and every success in the chapter ahead.
