PERSONAL

  1. What documents do I need to open a Personal Account?
    To open an account, you need a valid government-issued ID (passport, or national ID), proof of income (salary slip), and proof of address (utility bill or bank statement).

  2. I am new to Aruba Bank. Can I open an account online?
    Yes! We have created the ideal onboarding experience for you. You can apply to open a NEW account online. Simply click here and follow the steps provided. You will receive the necessary guidance throughout the application form. 

    NOTE: you will need an active email account to apply for an account at Aruba Bank. At the beginning of the application process, you will receive an email to authenticate your email address. 

  3. I am an existing Aruba Bank customer, can I apply for a new account online?
    Yes! As an existing Aruba Bank customer, you have the option to open new accounts through Aruba Bank Online®.
    Simply follow these steps:
    - log in to your Aruba Bank Online® web environment,
    - click on the + New Account button located in the right top corner of your screen, to initiate the request for a new account,
    - select from the list of available products. 

  4. Do I have to visit the Aruba Bank office as part of the application process? 
    Yes, you will need to visit a branch to complete the process, in most cases the application process will be concluded upon your personal visit for a Face-to-Face verification. Keep track of your application process by checking your email. We will correspond with you via email, through the email address you provided during the application process. Please double-check your Junk email to be sure you do not skip any important correspondence related to your application or your account. 

  5. For which countries does the Online Application form apply?
    The application form is applicable for Aruba residents (locals) and for Non-Residents (specific conditions may apply).

  6. Can a Minor apply using the Online Application form?
    Yes, a Minor (18 years or younger) can always apply, together with an adult (direct parent or caregiver). During the process, the parent/caregiver needs to register first (as parent/caregiver), followed by the minor. 

  7. How long does the account opening process take?
    The processing time may vary depending on the type of account you are requesting. Generally, it takes 2 - 3 business days to verify your documents and open your account.

  8. Is there a minimum balance requirement for a basic Current or Savings account?
    We offer a variety of account options, including those with no minimum balance requirements. Details on account types and requirements are available on our website.

  9. How many days, after my account application is approved, can I get access to Aruba Bank Online® and Aruba Bank App®
    As soon as your new Aruba Bank account has been approved, you will receive an email with instructions to activate your Aruba Bank App® and Aruba Bank Online®.

  10. How can I access my account online?
    Once your account is open, you can access it through our online banking platform, Aruba Bank Online®. You'll receive login credentials and instructions for your first login, via email (double check your Junk email). 

  11. Is my personal information safe and secure?
    Yes, we take the security and privacy of your information seriously. We use advanced security measures to protect your data, and our online systems are encrypted to ensure your information remains confidential.

  12. Can I apply for a credit card or loans during onboarding?
    During the process of opening an account, you will not have the option to add loan product. However, you can apply for credit cards and loans using our digital request forms available on www.arubabank.com/loans. Our website provides information on the types of credit cards and loan products available. 

  13. What is the process for receiving an Aruba Bank debit card? 
    During the application process, you can request to receive an Aruba Bank Mastercard Debit Card. Once your account is active, you will receive an email with instructions to pick-up your Aruba Bank Mastercard Debit Card. Upon picking up, you will be guided with the necessary instructions to activate your card. 

  14. How do I enroll in Aruba Bank Online® and Aruba Bank App®?
    To enroll in online banking and mobile apps, visit our website or download the app from your device's app store. Follow the registration process and set up your credentials. the Aruba Bank App is available for Android and Apple devices.

  15. What should I do if I encounter issues with my account or have questions?

BUSINESS 

  1. What is the difference between Small Business and Other Business Types?

    Small Business:
    To apply as a Sole Proprietorship or Corporation and (Private, owned by a person) Limited Liability Company with registered shares (N.V / V.B.A. / B.V.)

    Other Business Types:
    To apply as a Corporate (owned by another company and/ or persons) in one of the following legal structures: Maatschap, V.O.F., C.V., N.V., B.V., V.B.A., or another legal structure

  2. What does each application type cater to?

    Small Business:
    Caters to individuals or entities operating as Sole Proprietorships, Corporations, or (Private) Limited Liability Companies with specific registered share structures such as N.V, V.B.A, or B.V.

    Other Business Types:
    Designed for larger entities operating as Corporates under various legal structures including Maatschap, V.O.F., C.V., N.V., B.V., V.B.A., or other similar structures.

  3. How can I start the process of opening a Business Account?

    Small Business:
    For Sole Proprietorships or specific Limited Liability Companies, click 'APPLY' under Business Apply and fill in the Business Application Forms.

    Other Business Types:
    For larger entities under different legal structures, click 'APPLY' under Large Business Apply to access the relevant application forms.

  4. What happens after I submit my application?
    Once your application is submitted through either Business Apply or Large Business Apply, an Account Officer will contact you to proceed with the account opening process.
