It is called a smart account for a reason: you will earn a higher interest percentage as your balance increases, but retain the flexibility to make withdrawals. It is all gain and no pain.

Your interest is calculated daily and credited to your account on the last day of each quarter. You will receive your statement every 3 months.

Interest rates for residents

  • 3.50 % p.a. for balances of AWG 100,- to 10.000,-
  • 3.75 % p.a. for balances of AWG 10.001,- to 25.000,-
  • 4.00 % p.a. for balances of AWG 25.001,- to 50.000,-
  • 4.50 % p.a. for balances of AWG 50.001,- to 250.000,-

What to bring when opening a Cuenta Sabi

  • Valid photo identification (passport, driver's license, or ID card)
  • A recent utility bill (WEB, SETAR, ELMAR) or an extract of the Civil Registry to confirm your address
  • Non-resident customers will also need to bring an extra identification document and two original bank reference letters.
