  • Can I use the ABOpass outside Aruba?
    Yes, you can use your ABOpass everywhere you can connect to the Internet. This can be done 24/7.
  • Which transactions can I perform with ABO?
    • Transfer money between your own Aruba Bank accounts
    • Transfer money to another Aruba Bank account
    • Transfer money from your account to another local bank
    • Transfer money from your account to another international bank
    • Pay utility companies, such as Setar, Elmar and WEB
    • Pay credit card, insurance, and much more
    • Check your account balance, print or download statements
    • Send a 'stop payment' request (to block lost or stolen checks)
  • How can I apply for ABO?
    Just visit our website www.arubabank.com and submit the application form.
  • What are the charges for ABO?
    The use of ABO Personal and ABO Business is completely free of charge.
  • How will I know that I have registered?
    Within three (3) working days, you will receive an e-mail from Aruba Bank, confirming that we have received your request and indicating that you have to pass by the branch you mentioned with a valid ID to pick up your ABOpass and PIN. (For reasons of security, we do not send you the ABOpass and PIN via mail). In case the customer does not live here, he/she can authorize a person to pick up his/her ABOpass and PIN. This person has to bring an authorization letter signed by you. Download authorization letter.
  • Will I receive a PIN code?
    When you pick up your ABOpass you will receive a PIN and your SVC (Secret Verification Code). When you activate your ABOpass, you will have to change this PIN. After you’ve changed your PIN, you will be able to use this new PIN for all further transactions.
  • Will I be able to log in immediately?
    Yes, after you have picked up your ABOpass and PIN.
  • How can I change my PIN?
    Use your ABOpass to change your PIN:
    1. Press start
    2. Enter your PIN
    3. Press and hold
    4. Screen will display 'enter new pin'
    5. Enter new PIN
    6. Enter new PIN again to confirm
  • Can I request for someone else to have access to my online account?
    Yes, you can add someone else to your online account; this is called a sub-user. You as the main user have the option to create your own sub-users without the bank’s intervention, and you can give then as much or little authority on the account as you want. Apply for a sub-user on our ABO website under the link ‘user administration’.
  • What does ‘dual approval’ mean?
    This means that you have created more than one user for ABO, in other words: a sub-user, and that you have authorized him/her to also validate transactions (two different numbers). These two persons have to access ABO and approve the transactions separately prior to execution. As long as these two users have not approved a transaction, it will not be executed.
  • What are ABO’s benefits?
    ABO is fast, easy and secure. It lets you perform transactions such as bill payments, credit card payments or any other bank payment. ABO will save you time. You will no longer have to stand in line to perform a transaction. You will be able to pay your utility bills, transfer money and enjoy more ABO services from your computer at any time.
  • Is ABO only meant for personal customers?
    No, ABO is meant both for personal and business customers.

  • Can a wholesaler receive payments via ABO 'Bill Payment'?
    Yes. If you’re a wholesaler who would like to do this, please call our Corporate Credit Department at (+297) 527 7717 and ask for an account manager, who will be pleased to answer all your questions.
  • Can 'Bill Payment' only be used to pay utility companies?
    No, there is a list of various other companies registered with ABO that you can make payments to via Bill Payment. In ABO, just click on the arrow to select the company that you want to pay.
  • What are the benefits of paying with 'Bill Payment'?
    With the 'Bill Payment' option you can pay your (utility) bills very easily, because you won't have to enter all the information of the beneficiary. You don't have to know the beneficiary's account number, because this will be automatically listed. You can print a receipt once your transaction is approved. Your payment will go into effect immediately.
  • Can I also pay my credit card or insurance bill via Bill Payment?
    Yes. For Aruba Bank credit cards and insurance via Aruba Bank, just click on the arrow in ABO Bill Payment to select the recipients from the menu. To pay credit card or insurance bills from another bank or insurance company, use the External Transfer option.
  • Can I make changes to my accounts or add more accounts?
    Yes, by completing this ABO Modification form and submitting it at one of our branches.
  • What should I do if I lose my ABOpass?
    Call our Call Center (+297) 527 7700 immediately to block your ABOpass. Visit the bank to apply for a new one.
  • What should I do if my ABOpass gets damaged?
    Visit one of our branches with the damaged ABOpass and fill out a request form to get a replacement.
  • How do I know which ABOpass belongs to me, especially among sub-users?
    You will receive an email with the subject “ABOpass request ID". This e-mail contains both your Customer ID and user (sub-user) ID number(s) or names and corresponding Request ID number. This request ID corresponds to the envelope number that the main user will receive for each sub-user. With this information the main user can distinguish between request numbers to whom each package pertains. We recommend you memorize your serial number (on the back of the ABOpass) or use a small sticker to distinguish your ABOpass from other ABOpasses.
  • I would like to create a sub-user. Is this possible?
    If you wish to give more people access to your online account, you, as a main-user can create sub-users yourself. To do so, select the 'User Administration' option on your ABO menu and select 'Create a User'. Once the user has been created, the bank will receive notification. Only the main-user can pick-up the ABOpass at the bank.
  • How do I know I am a main-user or a sub-user?
    If you are owner of the ABO account and received a user id, this means that you are the main-user. If you have been assigned by the main-user (owner of the account) then you are the sub-user for this account.
    If you are a main-user, just enter your Customer ID in ABO's login screen. If you are a sub-user, you will need to enter the Customer ID and USER ID to log into ABO.
  • What is the battery life of an ABOpass?
    Three (3) years. If your battery is empty, please contact Aruba Bank. We will supply you with a new ABOpass.
  • What happens if I accidentally enter the wrong PIN into ABOpass?
    Your ABOpass will display 'FAIL1'. Press the red button to return and enter your PIN once again. After entering a wrong PIN 3 times, your ABOpass will be locked. To unlock your ABOpass, follow the steps mentioned under the link 'Unlock ABOpass'. To unlock your ABOpass you need to have your Secret Verification Code (SVC). This code is stated on the PIN mailer, which you received from us on the day you picked up your ABOpass.
