About opening a Corporate Current Account for Sole Proprietorship
Required documents when opening a Corporate Current Account for Sole Proprietor.
- Valid identification document for each accountholder: valid passport, driver's license or Aruban identification card. If the identification document is not issued in Aruba should be sustained with necessary permit.
- If an accountholder is not residing in Aruba, two valid identification documents are required, as well as two reference letters from two well-known financial institutions, addressed to Aruba Bank N.V.
- Only the prospective client in person can open accounts. Mail, fax or e-mail requests to open accounts are not possible.
- Fully completed and signed Source of Funds Declaration form.
- A fully completed and signed Transaction Profile form providing detailed information regarding the anticipated activities and the nature of the transactions.
- A recent and original extract from the Chamber of Commerce of Aruba.
- All new accounts opened are subject to approval by the Compliance Officer.
- The reason for the opening of account should be clearly stated.
About opening a Corporate Current Account for Legal Entities in Aruba
Required documents when opening a Business Account for legal entities in Aruba (an N.V. (LTD) or a Foundation).
- A valid identification document for each person authorized to sign (valid passport, driver's license or Aruban identification card). If the identification document is not issued in Aruba should be sustained with necessary permit.
- If an accountholder is not residing in Aruba, two valid identification documents are required, as well as two reference letters from two well-known financial institutions, addressed to Aruba Bank N.V. If it is not possible to submit two letters from banks, we will accept a reference letter from a reputable attorney or law firm.
- Only the prospective client in person can open accounts. Mail, fax or e-mail requests to open accounts are not possible.
- Certificate of Incorporation and Articles of Association.
- A shareholders' registry and identity and full documentation of the shareholders and the ultimate beneficial owners. The Ultimate Beneficial Owner of the company should be identified using the same procedures as mentioned under 1 and 2.
- A written mandate addressed to Aruba Bank N.V. including full names of all directors, signed by the minimum of directors needed to form a quorum.
- A written mandate addressed to Aruba Bank N.V. including names and signatures of other officials authorized to sign for the company, together with a designation of the capacity in which they sign.
- Complete and signed Source of Funds Declaration form (for initial deposits).
- A fully completed and signed Transaction Profile form providing detailed information regarding the anticipated activities and nature of the transactions.
- A recent and original extract from the Chamber of Commerce of Aruba.
- A Business Operating License ('Ministeriële Beschikking ter uitvoering van Vestigingsverordening Bedrijven).
- When applicable, more information about the company might be needed in order to comply with the bank’s 'know your customer’-policy.
- All new accounts opened are subject to approval by the Compliance Officer.
- The reason for opening the account should be clearly stated.
About opening a Corporate Current Account for Legal Entities not established in Aruba
Required documents when opening a Business Account for legal entities not established in Aruba (an N.V. (LTD) or a Foundation).
- A valid identification document for each person authorized to sign: valid passport, driver's license or Aruban identification card. If the identification document is not issued in Aruba, it should be accompanied by the necessary permits. Only the actual prospective account holder, in person, can open accounts. Requests by mail, fax or e-mail will not be honored.
- If an accountholder is not residing in Aruba, two valid identification documents are required, as well as two reference letters from a well-known bank, addressed to Aruba Bank N.V. If it is not possible to submit two letters from banks, we will accept a reference letter from a reputable attorney or law firm.
- A shareholders' registry, the number of shares and share certificates issued should be disclosed.
- Identification and full documentation of the shareholders and the ultimate beneficial owners. The Ultimate Beneficial Owner of the company should be identified using the same procedures as mentioned under 1 and 2.
- Only the prospective client in person can open accounts. Mail, fax or e-mail requests to open accounts are not possible.

About opening a Corporate Current Account for Aruba Exempt Companies
Required documents when opening a Business Account for Aruba Exempt Companies (A.V.V Off Shore).
- Two valid identification documents for each beneficial owner of the company.
- One valid identification document of each person authorized to sign for the account, if a resident of Aruba, and two, if not a resident of Aruba.
- Two reference letters from two well-known financial institutions, addressed to Aruba Bank N.V., for each beneficial owner.
- Detailed information about each beneficial owner of the company.
- Only the prospective client in person can open accounts. Mail request, fax request or e-mails to open accounts is not possible.
- Certificate of Incorporation and Articles of Association.
- Complete and signed Source of Funds Declaration form (for initial deposits).
- A fully completed and signed Transaction Profile form providing detailed information regarding the anticipated activities and nature of the transactions.
- A recent and original extract from the Chamber of Commerce of Aruba.
- A recent extract from the Chamber of Commerce of the company / companies representing the AVV as Managing Director and / or Registered Agent of the Company.
- The registered Agent of the Company must provide us with a written statement that he or she will inform us immediately if there is any change in the ownership, and supply us with all documentation and information of the new owners as mentioned under 1,3 and 4.
- Power of attorney for each person authorized to sign, not being the director of the company.
- All new accounts opened are subject to approval by the Compliance Officer and CEO.
- The reason for opening the account should be clearly stated.
